Reviews indicate that this property is ideally located near the Northeast entrance to Yellowstone, making it a convenient base for exploring the park and nearby attractions like the Beartooth Highway. Guests frequently praised the cleanliness, comfort, and functionality of the accommodations, including amenities like a washer/dryer and a well-equipped kitchen. The owner received high marks for being helpful and responsive. However, some reviews noted that the town of Cooke City is expensive, and a few mentioned that the bathroom and kitchen could have been cleaner. Overall, the sentiment is highly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Great place, town is expensive
This was a very economical place to stay centered beside the entrance to Yellowstone. Owner was nice and stayed behind us in his own cabin. Cooke City in general wasn’t as welcoming as we had expected other than the fly shop that was closing down for the season while we were there. Gas stations, restaurants, and other amenities were super expensive so bring what you can or stop before you get there to buy what you need. Overall we had a great time!

Stopover while touring the Beartooth Highway/Lamar Valley
We stayed two nights while touring the Lamar Valley and sightseeing on the Beartooth Highway. The bedroom had a king size bed and was very comfortable. The other room included a bunk bed were our son and his friend slept. The bathroom was very nice and there was a washer/dryer unit that came in handy. The kitchen was also very functional and allowed us to enjoy breakfast and pack a lunch before heading out. This unit was clean. I have to say that it fit our needs very well!

Great location, only about 4 miles from the NE entrance to Yellowstone. Dining options and gas stations near by in Cooke were convenient. Cabin had everything we needed, nothing fancy. Bathroom and kitchen could of been cleaner. Overall nice stay.

Perfect Access to Northeast Yellowstone Entrance
If you are looking for the perfect place to stay to access the Northeast Yellowstone Entrance look no further. This is the ideal place. I’m less than 10 minutes you will be in Yellowstone and in our opinion the best part of the park to see wildlife, Lamar Valley. Plenty of room for a family of 3-4. Kitchen is small but has everything you need. Washer and dryer were a plus. Less dirty clothes to travel with. General store down the road has everything you need. Make sure you try anything and everything with huckleberries. Perfect little town

Cute Cabin near Yellowstone
The cabin was clean and organized. Nice little kitchen area for preparing and cooking. Large table for eating and playing. Only a few cement stairs down to the door. Very quiet and peaceful. A short distance to the NE gate of Yellowstone. Our car battery died in the cold. We texted Travis the owner and asked if he could jump it in the morning we were leaving. He quickly responded, and was so nice, got up extra early on a Sunday to help us out. We will definitely be back to the Fox Den Cabin.

Awesome spot for sledding/skiing
Awesome property 100 yards from the start of the trail. Property owner took great care of the place and even let me borrow his sled after mine broke down. 10/10 experience.
