About this House
SUMMARY
The stunning East facing view of Picacho Peak from the living room gives the home its name, and offers an incredible sense of immersion in Santa Fe's unique landscape. The combination of luxury furnishings in an authentic adobe home offers the perfect blend of comfort, tradition, and sophisticated style. The home was originally built by famed artist Margaret LeFranc in the 1950’s, and offers true old Santa Fe character and charm.
LIVING AREA
The living room is steeped with ambiance, and is complete with a decorative kiva fireplace (not operable for wood burning) and a vintage cast iron wood-burning fireplace. The windows offer a fantastic view of Santa Fe’s foothills and our famous sunrises. The owner’s bold art collection offers more than enough eye candy for this already gorgeous space.
The private office space offers a comforting workspace for those that travel with work.
KITCHEN AND DINING
The galley kitchen features stainless steel appliances, and easy access to the living and dining areas for a convenient cooking experience. The dining room offers incredible views to complement your meals along with access to an outdoor patio.
BED AND BATH
The bedrooms have King and Queen beds respectively. Both offer distinctive aesthetics and decorative Kiva fireplaces. There is a shared bathroom just outside of both bedrooms that has been gorgeously re-tiled, and an additional bathroom is available off of the dining room.
OUTDOOR SPACE
The back porch and yard feature comfortable furniture and an outdoor grill so that you can spend even more time admiring Santa Fe’s world famous mountains.
LOCATION
Located on the historic East side, Picacho Peak is a 10-minute walk (.4 miles) to Canyon Road, and an 8-minute drive (1.9 miles) to The Plaza.

Reviews indicate that this property is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and convenient location close to Santa Fe's attractions. Guests appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and the beautiful, quiet surroundings, including a mountain view and outdoor hammock. The property manager's responsiveness was also noted positively. However, some guests mentioned that the portable A/C units struggled to keep up with warm temperatures, and the house layout was somewhat unusual. Overall, the sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Nice spot in Santa Fe
The house is well located being close to Canyon road and only a short drive from the Plaza. The property manager was responsive. The layout of the house is odd as it appears to be a combination of a couple of different buildings. The temperatures in Santa Fe were warm during our stay and the portable A/C units struggled to keep up, making a bit warm. Overall though, we had an enjoyable stay.

Quiet cozy Mountain View home
Loved my stay in this lovely home. Exceptionally clean, quiet and very comfortable!!! Loved the master Bedroom . Beautiful and comfortable bed and cozy surroundings. Also spent a lot of time outside reading books and lounging in the outdoor hammock enjoying the cool breezes of Santa Fe. Definitely would stay again .

Beautiful home with elegant furnishings and art
Our stay in this beautiful, elegantly furnished adobe home was such a respite at the beginning and end of busy days visiting Santa Fe’s many artistic destinations, as well as neighboring Abiquiu and Chimaya. The large rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, the mountain view from the back deck was a perfect place to sit and relax in evenings and early mornings. The stay was enhanced by the beautiful collection of art and books. I will request this home when I return to Santa Fe!

Wonderful casita!
We live in Florida and wanted to become immersed in Santa Fe for our five days day. This charming Casita had everything we could’ve hoped for. The beds are very comfortable, there are nice linens, the washer and dryer were very helpful, the neighborhoods are nice and there’s a big kitchen and plenty of space! Loved it!
