About this House
This guesthouse gem is the perfect place to hang your hat while exploring Austin. With a private entrance, killer rooftop deck, and stylish interiors, it's perfect for the solo traveler or couple looking to stay in one of the best Austin neighborhoods. Brentwood Social House, an adorable coffee shop is two blocks away and Bird Bird Biscuit is across the street. Downtown Austin is just a 10 minute uber away. This spot is an Austin gem!
This guesthouse is an adorable two story apartment, with one totally private Airbnb unit on the ground floor and one totally private Airbnb unit on the second floor. This unit is the second floor spot, which is choice because of the generous and private rooftop deck. It's tucked behind a tall fence with a nice off street parking spot so you can park just a few steps from your door.
After parking, you enter a shared ground floor patio area, where you're welcome to hang out. You enter your unit by entering your access code to the hallway door, which takes you upstairs. Then there's your front door at the top of the stairs, also accessed with a code. Your rooftop deck is accessed through the large sliding glass doors.

This guesthouse is in the Brentwood neighborhood, which is one of Austin's coolest most central spots. The neighborhood was built in the 50's and 60's with most of the houses freshly remodeled, so it's eclectic and unique (like Austin!) There is a gigantic city park about a 10 minute walk away alongside a cute grocery store, ice cream shop, and old school deli. Brentwood is slightly north of downtown and within a 10 minute drive, you can get to just about any interesting Austin spot you'd like.
The neighborhood is super central and one of Austin's favorite neighborhoods. Parking is easy, as there is a driveway a few steps from the unit, where you can park. There is a convenience store two properties over alongside a laundromat in case you need to do laundry or grab some drinks or snacks.
This is a one bedroom apartment with a small kitchenette and seating area, plus a small fridge. We have a Murphy bed so you can fold up the bed easily during the day and have more space for guests to come visit, yoga, etc.

Reviews indicate that this property is a charming and comfortable spot with a standout rooftop patio, perfect for relaxing and socializing. Guests frequently praised its cleanliness, convenient location, and well-appointed amenities, including a private deck and proximity to local dining options. However, some guests noted that the Murphy bed was too soft for their liking, and there were minor issues such as a resident cockroach and mold in the drinking glasses. Overall, the sentiment is highly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Nice rooftop patio
Cool space to stay and visit with friends on the rooftop patio. We enjoyed this place and will stay again when back in Austin. Thanks!

Comfortable little spot!
Location was easy to find as the directions provided were simple. House/guest quarters were cute and clean. Felt safe and the house had the basics for showering and coffee. Didn’t realize the bed was a Murphy bed until I got there but it was comfortable so no complaints. The little patio area is nice and private. Also the chicken biscuit place basically next door makes for a great breakfast!

Perfect except for the mattress:
Except for the extremely soft squishy mattress, this property was perfect. I couldn't give 5 for overall rating. I ended up sleeping sideways across the end of the bed to get more support. I have a tempurpedic mattress at home which I realize gives super support. However, I've never slept on a mattress this soft. Perhaps it's bc being stored as a Murphy bed, it has to be light weight & consequently soft. The linens were lovely.

It was great
The place was great. There was a resident cockroach on the stairway and mold in the drinking glasses. Mostly minor issues. The place was great!

Gem property in heart of Austin
This cute, clean little efficiency unit has everything you need. Comfy bed, rooftop patio in the shade, nicely appointed. Coffee and shopping close by; downtown 10 minutes away. Safe neighborhood for walking.
