About this House
Sandisfeild is a quiet peaceful place nestled in lush forest surrounded by wildlife. It's a beautiful place to unnwind, explore and recharge.
Sweet Dreams has been newly renovated with amazing craftsmanship and great attention has been given to every detail. Furnished with tasteful decor and kept spotlessly clean. With gracious hospitality we sincerely intend to create an oasis where guest will be perfectly comfortable and feel totally pampered.
The bedroom has a custom built King sized bed with a sliding barn door which rolls infront of a wall of mirror, extra pillows, lantern lights .
The open, spacious and brilliantly lit sunny livingroom has spectacular views of flowers and grasses. The dinning room table for two sits nexts to hand made rustic plank shiplap boards. The fireplace is set inside a bookcase also beautifully hand built by Goeffery.
The sparkling clean bathroom has a frameless shower, granite countertop, plush towels and many amenities are provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a granite countertop, glass stove top, microwave, dishwasher, oven, medium size fridge, coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster, Keurig coffee machine with pods, specailty tea box, pots and pans, eating utensils, and a built in water filter. The mirrored back splash adds a touch of class and extra light.
One drawer is stocked with several types of over the counter courtesies, like Tylenol and other such remedies. Brand new, just in, fiber optics and fast internet has arrived. Large T.V. with channels including a large selection music channels and extra speakers for enhanced sounds.
The front lawn is lovely and quiet and there are many other common decks to enjoy. We are pet friendly. Two upper decks have roofs including the hot tub deck so rain and snow will be no problem. A wood burning old fashion camp fire area with Adirondack chairs is located in the front lawn. Also there are 2 zero gravity chairs on the pool deck to relax or watch the stars.
There is a gas fire pit on the patio deck which is your private deck and there are two comfy chairs and out door deco lights. A new grill that's easy to light, contactless entry with a well lit entrance.
There's more, a full sized washer and dryer, ironing board, luggage racks, and cot to be made up upon request if you plan to bring child or guest.
Sweet Dreams is on the first floor and we reside on the second and third floor. Sweet Dreams is a completely private guest suite.
The swimming pool is open June, July and August . The property also features 2 acres of private wooded forest. Our water is sparkling clean spring water with extra built in filters.
The natural beauty of the Berkshires is matched by its lovely selection of fine restaurants, a few I can recommend as favorites would be.
Gedney Farms, The Old Inn on The Green, The Catina, Baba loui's sour dough pizza, Najis Lebanese, Four brothers pizza and the Bistro Box.
Shopping in Great Barrington is fun in this cute little tourist town. With many specialty shops downtown like a coffee shop named Fuel, Tom's Toys, Marshall's, and several grocery markets. Organic groceries are available at the Berkshire coop.
Depending on the season there's so much more to experience here in the beautiful Berkshires.
In the fall don't miss the Berkshire Botanical Gardens October festival and the big E.
Visit the apple farm just up our street. The Riska Apple farm, has apple picking, blue berries and raaberries, donuts, pumpkins, pies, and a giftshop in season. There is a beautiful mountain veiw in the back of the orchard great for a vacation photo.
The pigs fly farm has local maple syrup and honey a d cool wooden pig with wings for a fun photo. Sometimes fresh eggs and veggies.
Enjoy the autumn foliage on a drive to Mount Greylock -it's Massachusetts' highest peak or
Bish Bash Waterfall and it's gentle and challenging trails.
In summer there is several performing arts and fine arts to enjoy.
arts. Jacob's Pillow a dance theator with high end restaurants and shops located on a beautiful mountain. Tanglewood's concerts feature the Boston symphony and much more.
Hiking trails are abundant and there a new guide book available in the suite. The country roads here are awesome for cycling, walking, Skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.

Simply Amazing!
My husband and I both absolutely loved Sweet Dreams! We came for a long weekend to celebrate our Anniversary and I couldn't have found a better place to stay. Directions and check in were perfect. Missy was awesome to communicate with right from booking. The place is immaculate and set up and decorated beautifully. We had everything we needed. We didn't do any cooking other than coffee and toast but easily could have with everything provided. The bed was super comfortable and plenty of room for our clothes and suitcases. Love that there was a washer and dryer which came in handy for our wet bathing suits after enjoying the awesome hot tub on the deck. We had never been (or even heard of!) Sandisfield and what a wonderful area it is! We absolutely loved the winding country roads lined with fields, orchards, farms and the occasional gorgeous home! We explored Tolland State Park on our bikes, hiked Clam River Trail, had a wonderful dinner at The New Boston Inn (learned about the resident "ghost!"), ate at 51 Park in Lee (yum!), and explored quaint Stockbridge. Another highlight was getting to see John Legend at Tanglewood (only a 40 minute drive)! Because this was a last minute decision we weren't prepared but Missy kindly lent us lawn chairs. She also shared delicious vegetables from her amazing garden! Missy and Geoff were the perfect hosts. They were right there to answer any questions but definitely gave us our privacy. We can't wait to go back!

Wonderful relaxing stay
We’ve enjoyed many VRBO rentals over the years but Missy and Geoff’s Sweet Dreams Retreat ranks among the best. As many have already said, here you will find comfort, serenity and relaxation in a beautifully decorated, pristinely clean little apartment. We like to cook when we travel. The small kitchen was very well equipped with stovetop, oven, refrigerator, microwave, drip coffeemaker, Kuerig and toaster. Big fluffy towels, quality toiletries, plenty of bedroom storage and a real perk, a washer and dryer, added all the comforts and efficiencies of home. Missy and Geoff are present (they live in the house above the suite) and responsive to any question you might have. Staying here is a real treat when visiting the Berkshires. We look forward to another visit.

A wonderful weekend getaway!
We had the pleasure of staying with Missy + Geoff this past weekend and have nothing but wonderful things to say! The place was clean, the hosts were lovely, and we had an amazing time! Would definitely love to stay again for future quiet getaways!

A great getaway!
This property was clean and impeccable decorated! We enjoyed sipping on coffee in front of the fireplace with our son and our dog. Owners were very gracious hosts. We also enjoyed the rural location; far-away from the hustle and bustle, yet a short drive away. Would def recommend!

November getaway weekend
My wife Chris and I were very pleased with everything about this wonderful suite in such a pretty rural area with so many interesting places nearby to visit. Everything was clean, well thought out and pleasing, including the fireplace in the wall. Our hosts, Geoff and Melissa were delightful. We'll be back Lord willing.

Wonderful Fall Getaway
We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Sweet Dreams Retreat was immaculate and the perfect size and location for a couple looking to get away. Missy and Geoff were responsive and accessible hosts. The Berkshires and neighboring towns were convenient and charming, the leaves were beautiful, and the outdoor hot tub was an amazing perk! Our dog, Ranger, loved all the sniffs too! We would recommend it without hesitation!

A Gem in the Berkshires
My husband and I really enjoyed our time at The Sweet Dreams Retreat! The guest suite is so peaceful, cozy, and clean with every detail thought out by the hosts (the fireplace and access to the jacuzzi during the brisk Fall weekend were the icing on the cake). We would definitely stay here again!
