About this Cabin

The Seney Cabin features a 1500 sq ft rustic log home adjacent to Seney National Wildlife Refuge for hiking trails, nature watching, cross country skiing, and fishing. It is located directly on the beautiful Manistique River for kayaking, tubing, and fishing. There are snowmobile and ATV/ORV trails just down the road. We are just a short drive to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and many other tourist attractions. There is a fire pit and picnic table in the backyard for you to sit around and roast marshmallows. The cabin has a large full kitchen and dining table that seats 8, full size washer and dryer, interior stone fireplace, and full 400 sq ft deck with hot tub overlooking the river.

Hot tub: We build in a charge of $20 a night for the hot tub. This is included in your nightly rate and is not an extra charge. If the hot tub is unusable during your stay you will be refunded $20 pet night for the nights it was unusable.

The hot tub is drained and refilled every month or two. If the hot tub needs to be drained again a lot sooner than scheduled due to improper use or excessive debris following a guests stay, the guest will be charged a fee of $100.

Security: You will find three outside cameras that only view the driveway, but these are not monitored. We want you to be able to enjoy your time at Seney Cabin. It is a beautiful place to get away and enjoy nature!!!

Property Reviews
At A Glance!
Reviews indicate that this property is highly praised for its beautiful cabin and scenic location, making it an excellent base for exploring the Upper Peninsula. Guests frequently mention the cabin's cleanliness, comfort, and proximity to various attractions such as kayaking, golf courses, and the Seney Wilderness Refuge. However, some reviews note that the cabin is close to a busy highway, which can result in significant traffic noise. Overall, the sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Central location The cabin and property were beautiful! Pics just don't do it justice. The cabin was easy to find and well marked. It is also a very central location and made it easy to travel to different attractions. We will definitely be back!

Nice cabin but not quiet Well-kept and comfortable cabin along the Manistique River. If you are accustomed to very loud traffic noise you will feel right at home, if not you may be disappointed. The cabin sits less than 100 feet from busy highway 77 where the south-bound posted speed limit is 65 mph. When north-bound 18-wheelers hit the engine breaks one can almost hear the windows rattle. Be prepared for the bare minimum cooking gear from pots to knives; its 30 miles to the nearest restaurants.

Perfect location! Beautiful cabin and property. Had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Close to kayak/canoe trips, golf courses, and more. We took day trips to Munising, Newberry, Deer Park - then came back and relaxed around the campfire. Would definitely stay here again.

Seney Satisfaction Wonderful place to stay, Second time staying here. Quiet close to the Seney Wilderness Refuge, where we go a lot to take pictures of the wildlife and get away from the hustle and bustle of life.

Awesome winter retreat We came up here for a snowmobile trip and this place was perfect. Plenty of room for sleeping and eating and the house was spotless. A little tough to get to the trails but there wasn’t a ton of snow to work with. We ended up trailering to Seney, which was an easy trip. Will definitely back (in winter and summer)!
