About this House

Perched on a hillside with Lake Blue Ridge below and a spectacular view of the surrounding forest and the mountains in the distance, the North Georgia cabin rental Happy Campers is a magical slice of sylvan paradise. Just 12 miles from downtown Blue Ridge but in its own secluded universe in the Chattahoochee National Forest, it's the perfect place to spend your next vacation. The owners promise that you'll be a happy camper when you stay there, and it's easy to see why. With the unspoiled beauty of nature everywhere you look and all the modern comforts you crave, it's an ideal combination.

Professionally decorated with custom handmade furniture and ceiling fans throughout, and animal accents that you'll spot in the bedrooms, the cabin is warm and inviting, with leather sofas and wood-burning fireplace in the living room and comfortable bedrooms that ensure a fantastic night's sleep. Both the upstairs master bedroom and main level bedroom have king beds, balcony or deck access, and bathroom with jetted tub and walk-in shower. The downstairs bedroom features a twin over queen bunk beds, and the adjacent bathroom has a tub/shower. Big family or unexpected guests? No problem. A queen sleeper sofa in the game room accommodates two.

Meal times are a breeze thanks to the fully stocked kitchen, which is outfitted with black electric appliances, ample counter space, and all the conveniences and implements you need. There's seating for eight at the dining table plus two at the breakfast bar. If you'd rather dine outside, a gas grill and picnic table await you on the wraparound porch. Later, you can soak in the hot tub and warm yourself by the fire pit as you take in the mountain air.

As for indoor entertainment, the cabin has four Dish Network-equipped flat screen TVs, 32” set in the main and upstairs bedrooms and 55” inch sets in the living room (with DVD) and game room (with Blu-ray/DVD, and Xbox 360 with games). There, you'll also find plush sofas, billiards, shuffleboard, and board games.

It's just a quarter-mile walk to Lake Blue Ridge, where you can fish and enjoy the scenery, or just a short drive from all the outdoor activities that Morganton and the surrounding environments have to offer. Or, just outside the cabin's door is perfect for throwing a football or Frisbee around. There's also a corn hole set, bags and boards provided.

Does your family include very young or furry members? You'll be pleased to know that Happy Campers has a high chair/booster seat and a pack n' play available, and welcomes you to bring your dogs with you. Of course, there's a washer/dryer to handle all your laundry needs.

Property Reviews
At A Glance!
Reviews indicate that this property offers a nice, secluded cabin experience with spacious rooms and a variety of amenities, including a game room and hot tub, which guests enjoyed. However, several reviews highlighted significant cleanliness issues and maintenance concerns, particularly with the kitchen and appliances. While the location is appreciated for its privacy and proximity to nature, some guests noted that the lake view was obstructed and access to the lake was further than expected. Overall, the sentiment is mixed, with many guests enjoying their stay but expressing disappointment in the property's upkeep.
Spring break we really enjoyed the privacy, game room and hot tub!

Valentines Getaway My boyfriend and I shared this beautiful cabin with 2 of our friends for a romantic getaway for an early valentines. We enjoyed everything about it!! We didn't get to get in the hot tub, but we definitely used the jetted tubs! Everything was very clean and very accessible! Thank you for our stay!

Very nice house in a gorgeous area. Check in was a little stressful. Small address sign in hard to see in the pitch black dark. Sign had flipped sideways. Need a larger print sign with two stakes that won't move. Also, the lake view was unfortunately obscured. Would suggest clearing more for the view ( if you own the property). Otherwise a very nice place with a great location and good amenities.

Was not a vacation This property is nice. Cool location. Cleaning was disgusting. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all. There were stains on all the comforters. The washer could not fit the 2 king sized comforters so no telling when these were last washed. The dishwasher is broken. If you like to cook. Don’t come here. Very limited and poor condition cooking utensils/ pots and pans and zero spices, sugar etc. bring everything. There were so many little things that could of made this place great. Unfortunately, our vacation was cleaning (with cleaning products we bought, also not stocked at house) and trying to feel comfortable when we slept. I feel this cabin was a complete waste of money. We visit Blue Ridge A LOT. I recommend any other cabin. Not sure if it’s just this one or Escape to Blue Ridge the company.

Lake get away Cabin was nice, however shows leaked and needed to get maintenance to come out to fix. Also cleaning ladies didn't do a through job cleaning, seems to have been rushed.

Spacious home but needs help with kitchen This property was very nice rooms were great sizes. Decorated cute and comfy. However I was disappointed in the kitchen. Good size but microwave over stove was broken . There was a counter one but that didn’t help when cooking on stove and need the fan/vent. Drawer of stove broken. Cabinets were very beat up. Formica on island was coming off. Dishes had chips and pans were in bad shape.the refrigerator did not have an ice maker so we went out and bought bags of ice. Overall it was supplied well . But if you enjoy cooking the kitchen definitely needs a redo. The outdoor grill was in very poor shape also a disappointment. Location was great . Overall we had a great vacation but owners should really update and replace the broken items .

Secluded Cabin is nice and secluded. Only thing we misunderstood was that we thought the lake was within walking distance via a trail from the house or closer based on the pictures and reviews. It is not, but that’s on us. In the early spring, Late fall or winter you would have a much better view of the lake. All in all we enjoyed our stay and family time.

Great change of scenery Thanks so much for the opportunity to stay in this beautiful house. It was so good to get away from home for a few days. The house is so nice and open, with plenty of space for the teens and adults to have time to themselves. I think we used the hot tub every day and enjoyed walking around the area and down to the lake. It took a bit to figure out where the lake access was, and it’s 0.6 miles not .25, but it was still nice to walk down there. We really liked being way out in the woods but still being able to get into Blue Ridge in under 30 minutes.

Cabin was great, views maybe not as great as advertised. We were looking a little isolation and quite and this cabin definitely fit the bill.
