About this House
Secluded high on the edge of a hilltop ridge that inspired its name, Livin' on the Edge offers the peace, privacy and seclusion of a mountain hideaway and all the fun and outdoor adventure that you crave in a vacation.
Less than seven miles from downtown Blue Ridge and popular eateries like Chester Brunnenmeyer's Bar & Grill and Black Sheep Restaurant, the cabin is located in the heart of the Aska Adventure Area, close to Lake Blue Ridge for pontoon boating and Tank Town USA, where you can drive a real tank over junk cars. You'll return from a long day of activities to the quiet of the cabin to roast marshmallows over the fire pit, play pool or foosball, or soak in the hot tub while you take in the magnificent view.
Inside, the cabin is rustic and cozy, comfortably furnished and decorated and positioned to maximize the long-range vistas that will astound you from sunrise to sunset. The main level great room comprises the living room, kitchen and dining area, with a stacked stone gas fireplace, 55” TV, and a fully-stocked kitchen featuring painted cabinets, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, gas stove/oven, icemaker, crockpot, and drip coffeemaker. The dining table and bench, refinished family heirlooms, seat 8, plus two at the breakfast bar. On the wall above the table is a wooden American flag, made by local veterans.
With room for nine guests, the accommodations are ideal for a large family or group of friends. The main level master bedroom has a king-size log bed, deck access, and bath with tub and shower, and there's a twin daybed in the adjacent loft area. The upstairs bedroom also has a king log bed, and deck access, with a porch swing right outside the door. Its private bath has a walk-in shower. The downstairs is like a separate apartment, with a queen bed, full-size pull-out sofa sleeper, a pool table, foosball table and board games, a washer and dryer, and bathroom with a walk-in shower. All bedrooms have 27” TVs.
If you love to barbecue, you'll find a gas grill on the main level deck, a picnic table, and plenty of seating to kick back in and enjoy the Georgia mountain air. Other amenities include WiFi, Dish Network, a child rocking chair and ceiling fans throughout the cabin. And you don't have to leave your canine best friend behind. Livin' on the Edge is pet-friendly, so you can bring your dog with you to share this very special mountain vacation experience.

The pictures don't lie!
We are from Florida so almost all of our vacations are usually the "cabin in the mountains" kind. This cabin was our favorite out of the many throughout the southeast that we have stayed in. Honestly, just bring all your food and just stay at the cabin. No need to go do tourist stuff because the cabin is so great to be at. Awesome views, everything was clean. We were concerned from reading other reviews that our vehicle might have trouble getting up the mountain but our Hyundai Santa-Fe had absolutely no problem at all. We spent the last few days with our two teenagers playing pool, playing foosball, watching movies, cooking out (grill was perfectly clean) and hanging out in the hot tub. We went for a few local walks but the views from the cabin were actually good enough. Our two dogs came with and they had as much fun as we did. What a great family vacation.

Great for pets
We chose this cabin because it is pet friendly. Hot tub was easy to use! Water pressure was wonderful! Amenities were great. Cabin is cozy and its location is private. There are only 4 chairs around the fire pit, so if you have more people than that…keep that in mind as you might want to bring your own. We did enjoy our little weekend away and appreciated that we could bring our dog with us.

Autumn in Blue Ridge
Overall very nice. Pictures on website made the cabin appear larger than what it was. Wall zombie picture downstairs was distasteful. There is 1 nail popping up on stairs going up to top floor bedroom. Also, toilet seat on main floor broken. Would recommend a pantry and kitchen pots and pans more organized. Lovely fire place and fire pit. Beautiful views!!

Getaway
We are from FL and never been to blue ridge. We loved living on the edge. We didn’t use the hot tub as it appeared very dirty. There was a huge rain storm out last day and in the morning of checkout we had basement flooding. I called the property manager who was wonderful! Definitely would recommend other than the hot tube. The views were Stunning! They are not joking when they say You DO NEED a 4WD car!

Getaway with mom and sis
My 90 year old mother, my sister and I had a WONDERFUL time! The cabin was perfect for us. The space was great and the kitchen was wonderful as we cooked breakfast and dinner each day. Additionally, we LOVED the fire pit! Our only concern was the road to the cabin. After the first time driving up, it was not a problem!
