Black Dog of Blue Ridge is named for the owners' loyal pet, who loves coming to Blue Ridge to relax on the deck and roam in his fenced yard. This peaceful retreat is great for a family, few couples, or a girls/guys weekend. Bring your own furry friend as well!
This prow front home offers a rustic yet elegant setting with contemporary, premier furnishings, almost all purchased locally from Blue Ridge stores. Here, gazing out at spectacular views, you'll feel at peace and at home while the real world disappears and your cares fade away.
Start each morning with the sun rising over a view that even the locals call "amazing." Have breakfast in the gorgeous dine-in kitchen as dazzling colors outside your window transform into a clear blue sky.
In pursuit of adventure? Take your loyal pooch for a hike through the mountainside, then head out to the river for whitewater rafting or tubing. Head over to the stables for a lovely horseback ride through the hills, then hit some balls on one the area's pristine golf courses. Wind up the afternoon with a visit to nearby apple orchards for some beautiful fresh fruit.
Kids of all ages will love hanging out downstairs, spending a rainy afternoon playing pool or board games. Fix a drink at the wet bar and grab a snack from the mini-refrigerator, then relax watching a movie snuggled up on the couch in front of the fireplace…Even the twin bedroom is downstairs for the ultimate weekend getaway.

Wonderful place for families with pets
We loved our stay at Black Dog of Blue Ridge. It’s convenient to town (but make sure you follow the host directions and not Google), has great views from the deck, a comfortable outside fireplace in winter, and a perfect fenced yard for pups who like to run around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to travel back soon

Perfect Getaway
We loved our stay! The house was beautiful and cozy. We enjoyed grilling out and the hot tub. It wasn’t far to get into town.

This property was everything the listing said it was! If you want a secluded vacation with wonderful views, this is the property for you. It was wonderful having a fenced in yard for my dog to be in

Owners should be ashamed
2 days before arrival told the outside fireplace was broken. Dishwasher leaked all over the floor and mgt told us to put towels under it when running. Stoppers in kitchen sink were wrong ones so dishes could not even be hand washed. Refrigerator water and ice dispenser broken, where there was a drawer in kitchen raw plywood was screwed onto the cabinet base. Torn and filthy area rugs inside and out. Leather couch upstairs a mess. Hot tub cover broken and torn should be in the trash. Outside fabric furniture was filthy,stained. All bathrooms had missing pulls on cabinets. Hanging screen parts by hot tub. I have photos of all. Was then sent to a gorgeous cabin that was more than worth the money by mgt. So disgusting and anyone that gives this place a good review must not know what a gorgeous rental looks like

Amazing stay!
We stayed with friends, children and fur babies! Cabin was very clean & pet friendly. The staff was very easy to communicate with and customer service was excellent!

Wonderful Trip
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Blue Ridge. The management company was extremely helpful as a storm blew through the area knocking out our power. We were moved to another cabin with power that was just as wonderful as the first. Greatly appreciated the assistance and a great time even with the storm issues.

Just what we needed
The house was incredible and gav e everyone their own space. The pool played pools and watched the games on Cable TV, I was able to grill out during the evening while looking over the incredible view of Blue Ridge. My way loved the outdoor fireplace that she used every night while catching up on her reading. 5 stars!

Breathtaking view!
This is an absolutely amazing cabin! The view from every window and every deck is just beautiful! We really enjoyed the outdoor fireplace, the hot tub, the fully stocked kitchen and the fenced in yard for our dog. It was also really nice having a fully paved road and driveway. My Volkswagen Jetta was able to handle the mountain roads without any issues. The cabin was clean, and convenient to eveything too. We truly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back!
