At A Glance!
Reviews indicate that this property is a charming and cozy cottage, praised for its cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and particularly the lovely screened porch, which many guests enjoyed for relaxation. The location is convenient, being close to downtown Highlands and various attractions, making it ideal for a peaceful getaway. However, some guests noted that the property could benefit from maintenance and that the pricing policy for additional guests may be misleading. Overall, the sentiment is largely positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Tranquility
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this peaceful cottage. From the 2 spacious bedrooms, spotless bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen and amazing screened porch, it had everything we could’ve hoped for. Also, it’s very convenient to downtown Highlands and all area attractions. A perfect getaway!

Cozy autumn getaway
This house was great - the perfect cozy autumn getaway for a long weekend. Wood fireplace was wonderful (they even provided firewood), screen porch was the perfect place to relax, read, or sip wine or coffee. The house has everything you need - even cream for your coffee. The host was really responsive and gave some great information about the area, recommended restaurants, and more. Would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing in the Mountains
The property is small but vert nicely appointed. Learning the lighting sequences took a bit of experimenting. The bathroooms were excellent. A great place to relax. The roads to the property are very narrow, but access to downtown is quick. The house was squeekky clean. Good information about the area was provided by the owner. We enjoyed our stay.

Great Property - Be aware of pricing policy over 2 people
This is a great property. It is listed as occupancy of 4 (which it clearly is) but the pricing is based on double occupancy. We travel with another couple and they picked the place and I paid for it. We did not realize the hook until we arrived and started to enjoy the beautiful screen porch and discuss the weekend. Really wouldn't have cared about $100 but feel that the property should not be advertised for 4 people and then charge extra to have 4 people. Besides that, it is convenient and private. Yes, I did ask the host about this and was told that it was the correct policy. Don't let this review keep you away from the property, just be aware of the policy when comparing it to others.

Second time here and we'd do it again..great rental
This was just perfect for the five days we spent in Highlands. We've been once before and we plan on coming back again. Anne was great and very easy to communicate with. This is a small comfortable home in a great neighborhood right in Highlands. Good grocery store and wonderful restaurants are an easy distance and Mirror Lake is a short 10 minute walk. There were just two of us but it would work well for two couples as well, as it has two BRs, two baths and plenty of common area for four people. The house had everything we needed and the kitchen, though small was very well stocked and had everything we needed; we used it a lot. As is noted, the lovely and comfortable screened porch is what really distinguishes this home. We love Highlands and always look for covered outdoor space when we come. The porch has a high ceiling with ceiling fan in the very private wooded front yard. We spent hours there, and when it rains (as it does often in Highlands) it is particularly wonderful.

Wonderful Stay !!
I can't say enough good things about this property! Needed a few days get away to hike, fish, and enjoy the fall weather. The house was spotlessly clean, beds were amazing, well stocked kitchen, screened in porch with comfortable furniture and hammock, cozy den with nice TV and fireplace, great proximity to the town of Highlands, and close to numerous trail heads and great food! The owner was extremely helpful and quick to respond . Book this property and you will not be sorry !

Great location and porch
We loved our stay. Tastefully appointed and clean. Very small kitchen but it was fine as we only cooked a simple breakfast and enjoyed dinners out in Highlands. The screened in porch was our favorite feature. Spent most of our time there! House needed a little airing out when we first arrived because there’s no ac but we opened the doors to the porch and it was just fine . Great neighborhood and proximity to Highlands. Highly recommend for a small group! I would stay there again.

Cozy Cabin
Everything was as advertised. There had been a ton of rain in the area (even more than normal) so the cabin was a little damp and musty but nothing opening the windows and lighting a fire didn’t fix. Great location and had everything we needed for a relaxing get away. Would have been a 5 but had issues with cable, but luckily we brought a firestick that allowed us to watch the dawgs’ game on tv. :-)

Lovely spot!
I stayed here with my two grown daughters and my grandson for a short weekend visit with family who live in Highlands. The weather didn't cooperate but the house was perfect! You definitely need to follow the owner's instructions for getting to the house, but once you're there it's delightful. The stone steps to the house were a little tricky for my 2 yo grandson and we decided it would be better to meet my parents in town rather than have them attempt it. But the rest of us had no problems with them and loved the location.

Beautiful cottage!
This place had everything we needed, plenty of space and a beautiful outdoor space in addition to a lovely screened patio. The road to the home might make some a little nervous, as it's windy on a hill with only one lane but there's not too much traffic on it.
