About this House

Blue Mist View is a perfectly located home base for your Gatlinburg vacation. From its wraparound deck you can gaze out at trees and the Great Smoky Mountains, yet the 2-bedroom cabin is only minutes from the excitement of downtown.

A one-story, chalet-style log cabin, Blue Mist View is part of the 43-acre Black Bear Falls Log Home Community. When you stay here between Memorial Day and Labor Day, you can swim in the resort’s heated pools—one for kids and the other for adults. There’s also a poolside lounge area and a clubhouse with free WiFi.

What’s more, the resort—and Blue Mist View—is close to just about everything the area has to offer. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Wild Bear Falls Water Park, the Guinness World Records Museum, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area and Amusement Park, restaurants, mini golf, thrill rides, shops, and more are within a 15-minute radius. Even the attractions of Pigeon Forge, including Dollywood, are less than a half-hour away.

Another benefit of Blue Mist View’s location are the glorious vistas. Mountains, towering old-growth trees, seemingly endless skies: They’re all visible from the spacious deck and from inside the cabin too. Bring your morning coffee outside, kick back on one of the deck rockers, and listen to chickadees greet the day as the mist rises above the mountains. Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the deck while oohing and aahing at the sunset. And perhaps best of all, reward yourself at the end of an action-packed day with a soothing soak in the deck’s hot tub under a canopy of stars: It’s a delight for body and soul.

The inside of Blue Mist View is just as restful as its deck. Once you sink into the great room’s perfectly cushioned couch, you may not want to get back up. While you’re spread out on the sofa, you can watch a movie on the large flat-screen HDTV, surf the web via the free WiFi, or simply bask in the warmth of the stacked-stone fireplace.

Dining out is often a vacation highlight, and there are scores of restaurants within minutes of Blue Mist View. Sometimes, though, it’s more relaxing (and certainly more budget-friendly) to dine in. The cabin’s dining table, positioned by large windows facing the mountains, seats 6 with ease. Just as important, the kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, gadgets, cookware, and tableware you’ll need, even if you’re planning a gourmet feast. And if it’s barbecue you want, you can cook on the charcoal grill right outside. The fresh mountain breeze is the perfect seasoning!

Each of Blue Mist View’s 2 bedrooms has a queen-size bed, a flat-screen TV, and its own full bathroom. There’s no short straw when it comes to choosing bedrooms, which makes the cabin as well suited for 2 couples as it is for a family. The wood-planked walls, the high sloped ceilings, and the gentle breeze of the ceiling fans practically guarantee a great night’s sleep. If you have additional guests, you can pull out the living room sofa, which converts into a queen-size bed.

When you stay at Blue Mist View, you can pack light. We’ll provide plenty of clean linens and towels, so you don’t have to bring your own; in fact, you’ll arrive to find the beds impeccably made up, so if you want to make a map your first order of business, you can. And, the cabin has its own washer and dryer; here’s your chance to return home with a suitcase full of clean clothes!

Close to everything, packed with modern conveniences, and in full view of nature’s grandeur, Blue Mist View has it all. You can have it all too—simply book your stay today!

Property Reviews
At A Glance!
Reviews indicate that this property offers a great location with beautiful views, making it ideal for those looking to explore the Smoky Mountains and nearby attractions. Guests appreciated the cleanliness, cozy atmosphere, and amenities such as the hot tub and well-equipped kitchen. However, several reviews highlighted issues with the steep driveway, which can be challenging, especially in inclement weather, and concerns about the accuracy of the cabin description regarding amenities. Overall, the sentiment is mostly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return despite some drawbacks.
Great time in the Smokys We really enjoyed this property. Its location was great. Close to attractions but private. Hot tub, pool access, and two bathrooms were amenities that added to our enjoyment of the property.

Beautiful View It was a wonderful vacation week at the Blue Mist View cabin in Black Bear Falls Log Home Community! We loved the view from the deck and hot tub. The cabin was spacious and quaint at the same time. It had all the amenities mentioned in the listing, including wifi, which for the kids was a must… lol. We would stay here again!

Double check your cabin description First, I was never sent the code to our cabin so I had to call upon arrival so we could get in. Then the cabin I was assigned to was not the cabin showed in the app - we had queen size beds instead of king and there was no whirlpool tub just standard bathrooms. Most of the jets in the hot tub didn’t work and the pool description on this property said it was a heated pool and it definitely was not. I spent over two hours on the phone with vrbo and the property management and neither did anything to rectify our issues, only pointed the finger at each other and took no responsibility for anything. I even sent pictures to them showing proof the description did not match. This was my first time booking with vrbo and I will never do it again.

Enjoyed our stay very much, our only concern was the driveway up to the cabin, very steep,. Would rent again from this company but would make sure it was easier to get to. Overall really enjoyed the stay.

Poor cabin experience. The driveway was so steep you couldn't get your car up to the house. There was not even salt and pepper, no baking sheets to even cook a pizza or frozen appetizers, the carpets had leftover stuff so it clearly wasn't vacuumed prior to. The lights over the sink didn't work so it was hard to see washing dishes, you offer a grill but no matches to light it. The washing machine panel was falling off and the dryer didn't ever dry my clothes after 2 cycles of attempting to dry them.. There were just several items wrong with the cabin and not worth the price we paid.

We really enjoyed viewing and stay. Everything was great except for trying to pull up that driveway

Location While the area was great, getting to the cabin and the parking was difficult. There needs to be better communication about the steepness of the driveway. If I had driven my car we would have never made it up the driveway.

Unhelpful HOA We didn't have WiFi the entire time of our stay. After 4 phone calls of complaining, no one ever could give me an answer as to why it wasnt working, nor did the send maintenance of the HOA to check it out. All I got was, "We'll call you back", or "We'll send someone to check it out". And of course no one ever came, nor did anyone call me back. Also, the master bedroom mattress was horrible. Every morning I woke up and vould barely move. I ended up sleeping on the couch as well as my husband. I wouldnt stay here again knowing that any possible problems will not be dealt with.

Great, clean, relaxing cabin! Clean, very pretty, great views, quiet and relaxing. Be prepared for the steep drive. It is no trouble to get up it, but you can not tell if your neighbors are coming down at the same time. Overall, wonderful stay!

We enjoyed everything about our stay except the driveway...it rained and was nearly impossible to g. It was very clean and we loved the porch and hot tub. We would stay here again. We really wish the pool had been in walking distance though. Overall a great stay.

great cabin in the woods with beautiful views! We loved this cabin! The location was perfect for hiking and visits to Gatlinburg. The view of the mountains is beautiful and makes for a great way to start and end your day. The hot tub was fun to enjoy after a long day of hiking. The driveway is steep, like other commenters have pointed out, but it's manageable if you are prepared and take it slowly. Plus, the steep driveway is a trade off for great mountain views! Perfect size cabin for our group of four.

Cozy The overall cabin was cute, cozy, and very well kept. It is convenient to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Kitchen was well equipt. I would have easily given it 5 stars but the bed in the master bedroom was horribe. You can feel the springs in it, and every time you move it made a noise. It desperately needs a new mattress. But the cabin was great!!!!
